Welcome to The Freighthouse. Your hosts are the three generations of the Paris family. Our local farm, Tamarlane Farm, is the source for much of the food served at The Freighthouse Restaurant, a restaurant with a 'green' commitment where the food is prepared by the same hands that grew it.

Farm fresh, local and organic ingredients are the core of our business. We serve certified organic grass fed beef and certified organic vegetables, local maple syrup, and menu choices prepared with fresh local ingredients. Enjoy a cup of fresh brewed coffee or order from our full service espresso counter. We offer a daily selection of fresh baked pastries and desserts. Choose from over 60 flavors of ice cream. Organic wine and local brews are the perfect complement to our famous “Freighthouse Burger.” Or, try our certified organic steak. We invite you to enjoy our relaxed atmosphere in an authentic 1868 Freighthouse where “good friends and good food meet.”

We are also the purveyors of Carmen's Ice Cream, an ice cream 'legend' that has been serving customers since 1979 and has been named to the "Sundae Hall of Fame".

We proudly serve Starbucks Coffee at our full-service Starbucks® Espresso shop, featuring our own signature maple macchiato, caffé latte, cappuccino, caffé mocha, caramel macchiato, and caffé Americano

As an authentic 1868 Freighthouse, it's no surprise that we also offer seasonal train excursions, like our ever-popular North Pole Express.
